About the Hotel Owner and Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Theresa Paradis:
"I have known Theresa for 5 years and in that 5 years, she has proven over and over what an amazing person she is. I run a pet sitting business and she has been my amazing and devoted assistant for the past 4 years. Not only is she always willing to help me with a visit when I’m overbooked, she goes out of her way to make the animals feel special and loved and always spends extra time playing with them or walking them or giving them massages and of course, always lots of kisses. She falls in love with all of them. She has also taken care of my dogs, cats and chickens many times and always sends me text updates and pictures of her visits with them. She’s dedicated, honest and reliable but most of all, she loves every animal she cares for and respects them and treats them just as she does her own furry family. She is the ultimate pet lover and I feel lucky to know such a kind person and be able to call her my friend and assistant."
Packsaddle Pet & Home
I volunteer with Humane Society Upper Valley, Remembering Ruby Rabbit Rescue, and a few others. I have taken 4 training workshops from American Humane for Disaster Animal Response Team-PAWS of Jackson Hole, WY and Disaster Sheltering for Companion Animals, hosted by PAWS of Jackson Hole, and FEMA courses, because this training has given me skills to assist in a natural disaster such as hurricanes, fires, or even a puppy mill rescue. I am a Certified Humane Educator Specialist, from the Association of Professional Humane Educators. Humane Education is a form of character education that stresses respect, compassion, and responsibility in our treatment of all animals, and people, and preservation of natural habitats. My family and I have volunteered for the last several years in Southern Utah at the nations largest animals sanctuary, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, working with birds, pigs, dogs, rabbits and many special needs cats. I am also certified in The Link- a coalition that advocates the link between animal abuse and human cruelty.
For every dog who visits here, I donate part of the proceeds to many different animal welfare and rescue groups, including the Animal Legal Defense Fund, among many. I also enjoy dressing in a dog costume for animal rescue group events and fundraisers!
"The reason I started this loved-dog hotel is because I believe dogs deserve more than a kennel with cages and a cold floor. I feel that they should receive lots of love and attention and even couches to jump on, when their people are out of town."- Theresa Paradis
Wagitude-Loved Dog Hotel and In Home Pet Sitting
- Reservatiosn firstname.lastname@example.org
Pet sitting is a professional service that provides customized, quality and loving care for your pet in the comfort of its own home. We are bonded and insured. In-home pet care is the choice of pet owners as a safe, reliable alternative to boarding their pets. A professional pet sitter provides peace of mind for everyone.
My promise to my pet parents:
It is my promise that your expectations and needs will be met, and that your pet/s will be provided a safe and secure environment to all client’s homes and pets while they are away. Dependability, reliable and detail-oriented care will be provided to your pets.
How many visits a day do you provide for pets?
For dogs, we recommend at least two visits per day, and is advisable they have access to outside at all times through a doggie door or outside kennel. This provides a lot of flexibility as to when we do our visits. For cats and other animals, we do a minimum of one visit per day. It is advised by veterinarians that cats should receive a minimum of once per day. Why? Because a cat can get into trouble or become ill quickly if more than 24 hours pass before they are checked on.
What are the hours of your pet visit?
Morning visits are typically between 7:00 - 10:00 am, mid-day visits 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and evening visits 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
How is your service different from part-time pet sitters, errand services, kid-next door pet sitting, or neighbors helping?
First and foremost, Wagitude Pet Sitting, is a professional service. That means that this is all we do for a living. Wagitude is Bonded and Insured, and ensures that if anything happens to your personal pet sitter, your pet care will continue, uninterrupted. Wagitude has many years of experience in caring for pets and belong to many professional organizations in the industry. I am a member of Professional Pet Sitters International, which provides ongoing information about pet-related issues and provides members with updated information for improving services. I truly LOVE what I do! More than a profession, pet sitting is a vocation. Unlike the part-timer, the errand service, or the kid-next-door who pet sit for extra cash, we have devoted ourselves to providing your pet the best possible care.
Do you accept all breeds of dogs as clients?
A very good question! We care for all breeds of dogs ONLY IF they are accepting of strangers coming into their home and that the individual dog (especially naturally protective breeds) does not, and has not displayed protective displays of aggression toward strangers. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any dog in which we feel may be capable of fearful and/or aggressive related attacks. With specific breeds, as much as I love them, it is Wagitude’s policy to ask certain questions relating to the breed behaviors. This helps to protect your professional pet sitter, and your best friend.
Do You Offer Same Day Bookings or Last Minute Requests For Pet Care Services?
As a general rule we do not offer same day or last minute bookings. The reason for this is that a meet and greet is required, service many clients daily, and scheduling is a full -time job. However, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Regarding Holidays and Peak times-because it is extraordinarily busy, and because a meet and greet is required prior to a reservation in your home-there is an" Last Minute" extra service fee within 10 days of a holiday if a reservation is made within this time frame.
