About the Hotel Owner and Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Theresa Paradis:

"I have known Theresa for 5 years and in that 5 years, she has proven over and over what an amazing person she is. I run a pet sitting business and she has been my amazing and devoted assistant for the past 4 years. Not only is she always willing to help me with a visit when I’m overbooked, she goes out of her way to make the animals feel special and loved and always spends extra time playing with them or walking them or giving them massages and of course, always lots of kisses. She falls in love with all of them. She has also taken care of my dogs, cats and chickens many times and always sends me text updates and pictures of her visits with them. She’s dedicated, honest and reliable but most of all, she loves every animal she cares for and respects them and treats them just as she does her own furry family. She is the ultimate pet lover and I feel lucky to know such a kind person and be able to call her my friend and assistant."

I volunteer with Humane Society Upper Valley, Remembering Ruby Rabbit Rescue, and a few others. I have taken 4 training workshops from American Humane for Disaster Animal Response Team-PAWS of Jackson Hole, WY and Disaster Sheltering for Companion Animals, hosted by PAWS of Jackson Hole, and FEMA courses, because this training has given me skills to assist in a natural disaster such as hurricanes, fires, or even a puppy mill rescue. I am a Certified Humane Educator Specialist, from the Association of Professional Humane Educators. Humane Education is a form of character education that stresses respect, compassion, and responsibility in our treatment of all animals, and people, and preservation of natural habitats. My family and I have volunteered for the last several years in Southern Utah at the nations largest animals sanctuary, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, working with birds, pigs, dogs, rabbits and many special needs cats. I am also certified in The Link- a coalition that advocates the link between animal abuse and human cruelty.
For every dog who visits here, I donate part of the proceeds to many different animal welfare and rescue groups, including the Animal Legal Defense Fund, among many. I also enjoy dressing in a dog costume for animal rescue group events and fundraisers! "The reason I started this loved-dog hotel is because I believe dogs deserve more than a kennel with cages and a cold floor. I feel that they should receive lots of love and attention and even couches to jump on, when their people are out of town."- Theresa Paradis |
